Board-Certified Urologist

Dr. Barnswell is a board-certified urologist specializing in general urologic care with a focus on prostate disease, including prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). He is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and guiding patients through diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management.

Dr. Barnswell completed his undergraduate education at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He earned both his Medical Degree and a Master’s in Public Health with Distinction from the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a surgical internship at Boston University School of Medicine and a medical internship at Cabrini Medical Center before entering the surgical residency program at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center. His urologic training was completed through the combined St. Luke’s/Roosevelt/Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center Program.

He brings decades of experience providing general urologic screening, diagnosis, and treatment, with special expertise in prostate health, including prostate cancer and BPH.
