Joseph Heimbauer, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with extensive experience in urology. He delivers compassionate, patient-centered care across all aspects of urologic conditions, while integrating evidence-based holistic and nutritional approaches to support optimal outcomes.
Joseph has built his career advancing urologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He was the first Urology Physician Assistant at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island (formerly NYU Winthrop University Hospital), where he played a pivotal role in developing the urology physician assistant service, which did not previously include PAs. He later served as Chief Urology PA leading the inpatient urology service. Joseph is also a founding member of what became Advanced Urology Centers of New York (a division of Integrated Medical Professionals).
In addition to his specialized urology training, he brings broad clinical experience from emergency medicine, general surgery, cardiology, and plastic surgery at several major New York hospitals.
He is particularly recognized for his expertise in Men’s Health and bladder health. He founded a national mobile urodynamics company and has actively participated in numerous national clinical trials involving complex urodynamic studies. Joseph frequently integrates principles of holistic and integrative medicine — including nutrition and anti-cancer strategies — into his patient care plans.
