Dr. Kohan is a board-certified urologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons specializing in bladder health, urinary incontinence, BPH and voiding dysfunction. He is recognized for his expertise in advanced treatments for overactive and neurogenic bladder,  and minimally invasive urologic care.

Dr. Kohan graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles and earned his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he received the Max Som Scholarship for academic excellence for four consecutive years.

He completed his urology residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Following training, he joined the faculty at Winthrop University Hospital, where he founded and served as the first Director of the Center for Bladder Health and Sexual Function.

Dr. Kohan entered private practice in 2002 and is a founding member of Integrated Medical Professionals. He remains actively involved in clinical research, national and international presentations, and advancing innovative urologic therapies.

He has also co-authored a chapter in pediatric urologic emergencies and continues to serve as a consultant in urologic innovation.
