Tso-Jen Hsiao, MD

Dr. Tso-Jen Hsiao is a board-certified urologist with advanced expertise in prostate cancer detection and MRI-ultrasound fusion prostate biopsy techniques. He is recognized for his leadership in adopting safer, more precise biopsy approaches that improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.

Dr. Hsiao completed his undergraduate studies in Bioengineering at Columbia University before earning his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical internship and urology residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City before entering private practice.

In 2006, Dr. Hsiao became one of the founding members of Integrated Medical Professionals. He was instrumental in launching the organization’s MRI-ultrasound fusion prostate biopsy program in 2014.  Having performed 1500 transrectal fusion biopsies, Dr. Hsiao transitioned exclusively to the transperineal approach in 2019 to reduce infectious complications that are associated with transrectal biopsies. He has since performed more than 5,000 transperineal fusion biopsies without infections, significantly improving standards for prostate cancer diagnosis. Today, his clinical focus remains solely on this precision prostate biopsy technique and early detection of prostate cancer.
